SAIL (Students Living Independent Lives) – Entrepreneurship
Located on the Brookdale Campus
Entrepreneurship is an exciting class designed for adults ages 18–32 with intellectual disabilities who want to explore business ownership, develop new skills, and earn money!
Students become part of a business team where they create, promote, and sell handcrafted products online—all while learning how to run a small business. In this hands-on program, participants work together to bring unique products to life, from the first idea to the final sale.
Students also have the chance to launch their own products or collaborate with peers to bring business ideas into reality. From pitching concepts to designing, marketing, and selling, they gain practical experience that builds confidence and financial independence.
Join SAIL Entrepreneurship and be part of a supportive community that encourages your goals, builds your confidence, and helps you succeed. Whether you dream of becoming an entrepreneur or just want to learn something new, this class will give you the tools to grow, earn, and shine!

About
As CEO and Founder of Voyagers’ Community School and SAIL – Students Achieving Independent Lives – I am dedicated to reimagining education. My work challenges outdated systems and proves that curiosity fuels learning, dreams drive purpose, and every child and adult has the power to thrive because anything is possible.
A recognized thought leader and keynote speaker, I serve on boards and within progressive education organizations, advancing innovation across public, private, and charter schools. My expertise spans nonprofit leadership, curriculum development, and systemic transformation—always with students’ growth at the center.
As an innovator, I helped launch SAIL, securing more than $368,000 in grants, and developed Adventure Esports, a groundbreaking curriculum for young gamers. My approach draws on global best practices to create communities where respect, responsibility, and curiosity guide learning.
Above all, my mission is to equip students with the confidence, skills, and independence to chart their own course—because when we nurture learners, we strengthen the world.
